Tobu Line Operation Information

For those coming from Tokyo

• It takes about 2 hours by limited express train from Asakusa Station on the Tobu Line to Tobu World Square Station.
• Get off at Imaichi Station on the JR Nikko Line and take a local bus for about 25 minutes.
• It takes about 2 hours by direct train from JR Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, or Omiya to Tobu World Square Station or Kinugawa Onsen Station. From Kinugawa Onsen Station, it is about a 5-minute bus ride.

For those coming from the Sendai area

• It takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes from JR Sendai Station to Utsunomiya on the Tohoku Shinkansen.
• It takes about 40 minutes on the JR Nikko Line from JR Utsunomiya Station to Imaichi Station.
• Approximately 20 minutes on the Tobu Kinugawa Line from Shimo-Imaichi Station to Tobu World Square Station.
• About 5 minutes by bus from Kinugawa Onsen Station.

Road traffic information

For those coming from Tokyo

From Tohoku Expressway Utsunomiya IC, exit Nikko Utsunomiya Toll Road at Imaichi IC (Imaichi/Kinugawa direction exit) and take National Route 121 towards Kinugawa Onsen for about 20 minutes.
Alternatively, take the Nikko Utsunomiya Toll Road to Tsuchizawa IC (Imaichi/Kinugawa exit) and drive on the general road for about 30 minutes.

For those coming from the Sendai area

From the Yaita Interchange on the Tohoku Expressway, take Route 461 towards Kinugawa, and after about 30 minutes it merges with Route 121, and then it is about 8 minutes away.
Alternatively, from the Tohoku Expressway Utsunomiya IC, exit the Nikko Utsunomiya Toll Road at Imaichi IC (Imaichi/Kinugawa direction exit) and take National Route 121 towards Kinugawa Onsen for about 20 minutes.
